David Alexander

David joined Surgeons Capital Management (SCM) in 2025, where he serves as a financial consultant working closely with the SCM team to support Surgeons Capital Management in both private and academic medical settings.  He brings a deep understanding of their complex compensation structures and planning considerations unique to medical professionals.  David also focuses on guiding medical device representatives who share similar financial planning needs.

David provides comprehensive financial planning strategies, including integrated investment, insurance and tax planning strategies, and estate planning coordination with your legal professional. His approach is centered on helping clients and their families as they strive toward long-term financial strategies aligned with their professional and personal goals.

Prior to joining SCM, David worked directly with automotive dealership owners and general managers, gaining hands-on business experience that informs his strategic, client-focused perspective.  This background enables him to deliver practical, real-world guidance to clients, navigating complex financial decisions.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in General Management from James Madison University. He resides in Philadelphia with his wife and two sons.  Outside of his professional work, he remains active in soccer, ice hockey, tennis, and padel, and is an avid supporter of Liverpool FC and the Philadelphia Union.
